WORK DESCRIPTION:
The human body is a central focus, featuring prominently in my silkscreen printed mirrors series. Looking at the work, the spectator is confronted with their own image. When looking into a mirror. what we usually perceive as a planar surface becomes tangible in its spatial depth. Pigments protect the viewer from his own reflection. They color the viewer and the room around him. A performative space opens up between pigment layer and glass surface, as well as the opaque layer lying behind both surfaces.
