ARTIST BIO:

Pedram Sazesh is an Iranian-Canadian project-based artist who works primarily through painting and drawing. Pedram was born in Rome, Italy, grew up in Toronto, Ontario, and spent most of the last decade in New York. His work stems from the investigation of environments that produce subjecthoods that his identity contends with, mythologies and politics of geographic regions, sites of national heritage, and reflections on his own immigration processes. He received a BFA from the Cooper Union in 2017, attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2017, and attended the Yale Norfolk Summer Art Program in 2015.
