ARTIST BIO:

Cecilia Bjartmar Hylta (b.1992, Sweden) is an interdisciplinary artist who studied at The Cooper Union School of art, New York and at De Ateliers, Amsterdam. The work of Cecilia Bjartmar Hylta moves between the artist’s interest in infrastructures and its physical disturbances. She positions herself within circuits and confuses them, isolates and redirects individual elements into new configurations. By extracting the objects from their familiar surroundings, she is questioning and stimulating a discussion about their function within larger social and economic systems.
